Rice Products

Supreme offers long and medium grain milled rice and rice by products.  Milled rice is the most common form of rice.  The outer husk is removed and the layers of bran are gently milled away until the grain is white.  Since the majority of rice is consumed in direct food use as a whole kernel, the quality of rice is evaluated in terms of grain size, shape, color, milling yields, cooking and processing characteristics, and purity.  Supreme's rice is guaranteed to conform to recognized USDA standards.  Levels of enrichment are available to satisfy buyers' specific requirements, and according to recognized enrichment standards.  Quick cooking rice meets grade requirements for U.S. No. 1.  Final quality is assured by a series of precision grading and electronic color sorting.  The finished product is very uniform in color and appearance and is Kosher approved. Brown rice is the least processed, but most nutritious, form of rice.  The outer husk is removed but the bran layers are left intact, giving it the characteristic brown color and nut-like flavor that is desired by today's health conscious consumers.  With the country's intense interest in nutrition, brown rice has surged in popularity.  While it is slightly higher in calories than milled rice, it is more nutritious with more protein, calcium, phosphorus, potassium, niacin, fiber and vitamin E.  It is also cholesterol free.  Brown rice must be of a superior quality and the milling process more complex than that of milled rice in order to meet stringent quality requirements.  Supreme also offers a Quick Cooking Brown Rice that meets U.S. No. 1 Grade requirements with no change in nutritional value.  This product is Kosher approved.
